Holiday Taxis launches V3 website - Scottish Travel Agents News - 31 Oct 2005
Holiday Taxis have announced the introduction of their Version 3 website this month.
The new website will have a bright new look and feel and enhanced functionality making the booking process even faster,
according to MD Paul Stanyer who stated: "HolidayTaxis have introduced a new website for each year of operation and this
year will be no exception as we continue to strive to improve the facility provided to the trade.
Our focus is, and always will be, on quality and service. We currently have a complaint figure of less than 0.2%, a figure we are
looking to reduce even further during 2005."
"We have recently been asked to introduce shuttle transfers to our portfolio of destinations", he continued, "however this brings
into the question of quality. We are looking at introducing this during the course of the year using a different brand name but we
want agents to understand that a shuttle transfer is a totally different product to the private transfer.
You cannot and should not compare the two products - a shuttle transfer can often involve clients waiting around at airports for
other clients to arrive on delayed flights before setting out on a resort and hotel tour. Some shuttle operators in fact do not
even drop clients at their hotels, but at a central resort point leaving clients to find their own way to the hotel. This really
is no better than the cattle herding mentality of the tour operators however we do understand there is an emerging market
for the budget traveller.
Improved passenger figures and booking activity has shown that the private transfer is still the preferred mode
of transport for the independent traveller."
