HolidayTaxis in branding move - Travel Weekly - 10 Nov 2003

TAXI transfer operations Holiday Taxis.com is looking to offer a white-label product to retail partners from next year.
The site, which offers taxi transfers services from most Spanish resorts, is talking to retailers about allowing them to offer the service on their own websites.
This effectively means retailers will be able to offer the Holiday Taxis service under their won brand name. However, the booking confirmation slip will state the service was provided by Holiday Taxi.com.

Discussions have been held with Ilkeston Co-op, although HolidayTaxis.com managing director Paul Stanyer is confident that other retail partners, such as Barrhead Travel, Hays Travel, Global Travel Group and the Co-operative Travel Trading Group, will be keen to sell the product as their own. Other retailer partners include Kwik Travel, Dawson and Sanderson, and Worldchoice. All products sold is commissionable, with the average mark-up for agencies at 25%, or a selling price of £125 on a net rate of £100.
"The focus until Christmas is to get as many white labels as possible", said Stanyer who will also offer grouping functionality to retailers, enabling then to check how HolidayTaxis.com product is being sold by each agency.
In addition, the HolidayTaxis.com product will be uploaded on to on-line agency Expedia in time for the peak selling period in January. This follows the company's launch of a consumer website in August.

Since the company's trade launch on February 1, Stanyer said 3,000 agents has registered to use the site, with turnover expected to reach £500,000 by the end of the year and £1 million by the end of 2004.
