Things to see and do in El Arenal

Arenal is a vibrant resort during the peak season, with an endless choice of bars and nightclubs; making it very party-friendly. It also has excellent beaches, family-friendly amenities and lots of watersports to enjoy. There are plenty of opportunities for shopping, whether in boutiques or at the local open-air market, while the capital -  Palma, is only a short taxi ride and has more choice.

Top attractions

The main appeal here is the very long, continuous beach and promenade which links Arenal with its neighbouring resorts. You’ll find locals strolling along the walkway in the morning, while bikes, rollerblades and skateboards are out later in the day. Shallow waters mean it’s ideal for families with young children, although the beach can get very crowded during the peak season.

While the nightlife is a key attraction here, families will also find plenty of things designed for them. Take the kids out for a cool day splashing around at Aqualand Waterpark S’Arenal, which is one of the biggest water parks in the world with a mini-zoo, little farm and entertaining shows. Or alternatively try the Palma Aquarium, which is located in nearby Can Pastilla, and great fun for all ages.

Best restaurants

Most visitors will want to try some of the fresh, local seafood while visiting Arenal and there are some good choices on offer. Restaurante las Sirenas is well priced, with an outdoor terrace and views out as far as Palma (a top choice for many). Casa do Pulpo is highly recommended for its lunchtime three-course set menu which is a real bargain. If you’re not a fan of fish, then Piccolo Sogno is a lovely, down to earth Italian place with great pizza and other dishes.

Types of HolidayTaxis transfer vehicles
March 31, 2023

At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.

For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage. On the other hand, if you're traveling with just one or two companions, a private car may be more suitable for you as they offer a more intimate and personalised experience.
