Things to see and do in Guadalmar

Guadalmar is the closest beach to Malaga Airport, making it the first stop on many holidaymakers’ list of things to see and do. It is also the only urban beach in Malaga with a nudist area.

There are lots of things to do in central Malaga itself, from sightseeing and shopping to visiting museums and enjoy the local cuisine. Try the Michelin-starred restaurants, explore the city streets or take a bus tour or boat excursion around the coast.

Best restaurants

One of the city’s most renowned restaurants, El Pimpi is a traditional Spanish restaurant located in an 18th century house. It also hosts cultural events, such as flamenco evenings. Another favourite is Antigua Casa de Guardia, reportedly the oldest tavern in Malaga. A good spot for cheese and tapas and an even better choice for the best Spanish wines.

Top activities

While most of the city’s sights can be seen on foot, a bus tour can be a great, relaxing way to discover Malaga. Sit back and enjoy the views and learn about the local buildings and history.

For excursions out of the city, and the chance to discover some of the nearby countryside, try a panorama buggy tour. This tour will lead you through the mountainous area of Axarquia, among the vineyards and olive groves. Or, take a daring walk along the Caminito del Rey, a spectacular series of footbridges that winds around the El Chorro gorge.

Types of HolidayTaxis transfer vehicles
March 31, 2023

At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.

For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage. On the other hand, if you're traveling with just one or two companions, a private car may be more suitable for you as they offer a more intimate and personalised experience.
