How to get to Puerto Pollensa from Palma de Mallorca Airport

Why visit Puerto Pollensa?

This attractive resort in northern Majorca, surrounded by mountains and with barely a high-rise in sight, offers long stretches of palm tree-lined beaches and lots of cafes and restaurants to choose from. Things to do in Puerto Pollensa

This northern resort provides lots of opportunities for swimming, water sports and boat excursions, such as the glass-bottomed boat trip to Formentor Beach. If you prefer to keep your feet on dry land then make the most of the golden sands of Puerto Pollensa or Albercutx Beach.

Puerto Pollensa is also a major destination for cycling, and whether you’re a seasoned or casual cyclist there are plenty of routes to choose from. Bike hire here is very easy, with shops renting cycles to visitors throughout the year. There are also some great hiking and walking trips available, like the Boquer Valley or Pine walks, plus golfing at the 9-hole Golf Pollensa.

For a side order of fantastic sea views, Ca'n Cuarassa serves up a wonderful mix of homemade tapas and grilled meats, with a play area for the little ones making it a family-friendly choice. For some genuine island cuisine, Celler La Parra is hard to beat, serving up rustic dishes of sauteed lamb offal and Mallorcan ratatouille. If you’re looking for something a little lighter, then Bellaverde restaurant is a good choice, specialising in vegetarian dishes and salads.

There are lots of interesting places to visit around Puerto Pollensa, whether you’re looking to discover some of Majorca’s culture and history or explore its rugged wilderness. For incredible views, take a drive along the twisting and turning road that links the resort with Formentor, or take a trip to the Albufera Nature Reserve.

Nearby resort Cala San Vincente is a fantastically secluded spot with a beach where you can get away from the crowds and the historical walled city of Alcúdia to the south is one of the most beautiful on the island.
