Why visit Santa Pola

Santa Pola is a popular tourist destination on the Costa Blanca thanks to its proximity to Alicante and miles of sandy beaches. Its beautiful natural surroundings are ideal for exploring on foot, by bike or by boat and it’s a great destination to visit throughout the year as, unlike many other resorts, it’s a working town with plenty going on during the winter months.

What to see

Santa Pola has everything you could want from a beach holiday, including golden sands and great facilities, but there are plenty of other things to do too. Explore the resort’s rich history with a visit to the castle, which was constructed in 1557, or take a coastal walk to any of its watchtowers overlooking the sea. Take a stroll along the working marina, where you can see the catch of the day being hauled in, or relax in at the Plaza de la Glorieta where you’ll find various stalls selling ice creams and souvenirs.

Activities

Santa Pola offers plenty of outdoor activities. Choose from a windsurfing, sailing and jet skiing or take a walk along the coastline. The nearby national park Las Salinas, a protected marshland area, is a haven for wildlife and visitors can see flamingos and other native birds. Of course, the beaches here are one of the most popular places to spend the day and there clear, shallow waters make them ideal for snorkelling and swimming.

Eating out

You can’t visit Santa Pola without trying some of the fantastic local cuisine and there are a variety of restaurants to choose from, including Batiste, El Faro and Casa Joaquín.

When to visit

Whatever time of the year you choose to visit, you are guaranteed a few days of sun and a warm climate. The best time for beach weather is from June until September, but arrive earlier or later, when the sea is still warm enough for swimming, and you can avoid some of the holiday crowds.

Types of HolidayTaxis transfer vehicles
March 31, 2023

At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.

For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage. On the other hand, if you're traveling with just one or two companions, a private car may be more suitable for you as they offer a more intimate and personalised experience.
