How to get to Playa de Los Amadores

The quickest way to get from Gran Canaria Airport to your hotel in Playa de Los Amadores is with one of our private taxi or minibus transfers. We offer a Meet and Greet service where one of our drivers will be waiting for you at the airport, ready to drive you straight to your door in just 50 minutes. Alternatively, choose one of our purse-friendly, standard shuttles or premium shuttles for a smooth and reliable journey to the resort.

Why visit Amadores

Amadores is one of the newer holiday resorts on Gran Canaria and offers a relaxed setting for a beach break, within a close proximity of livelier resorts such as Puerto Rico. Expect stunning, spotless Blue Flag beaches, calm waters and a promenade ringed by waterfront restaurants.

Things to do in Amadores

One of the most family-friendly beaches on Gran Canaria, visitors here can enjoy the 800 metres of sands and, if you’re up for it, the Ocean Fun Park inflatable assault course. Of course, the usual beach activities and watersports can be found nearby and there are lots of places for a shady afternoon cocktail. Try the exclusive Amadores Beach Club.

The resort is only a short trip from some of the other interesting places on the island, such as Puerto de Mogan, with its bridges and waterways, and the capital of Las Palmas is only an hour away with its shops and cultural sights.

Dining in Amadores

Whether you want to try some of the local food and prefer your International cuisine, there are a whole host of restaurants serving everything from steak to paella and octopus. The Irish Cottage is a popular choice for your traditional English breakfast, while Restaurant Zenubia offers some of the freshest fish and seafood. For a casual lunch, head along to Bistro Salsa for their tasty baguettes and fish and chips specials.

When to go

Gran Canaria is a year round destination, popular even in the winter when the weather is cooler but offers some winter sun. The main tourist season is during the school holidays, when the weather is hottest, making spring and autumn a good time to go for smaller crowds and good weather.

Types of HolidayTaxis transfer vehicles
March 31, 2023

At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.

For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage. On the other hand, if you're traveling with just one or two companions, a private car may be more suitable for you as they offer a more intimate and personalised experience.
