Things to do in Puerto Mogan

Puerto Mogan has a small, manmade sandy beach that’s perfect for sunbathing and playing with the family. It’s also one of the best spot on the whole island to see the sunset, sometimes even providing views of neighbouring Tenerife.

During the day, the marina is a popular place to take a walk or enjoy a lunchtime or evening meal at one of the various restaurants. Alternatively, stop by the local Friday morning maket for some fresh produce and fruit.

If you like to get out into nature, you’re in luck. The resort is surrounded by mountains offering great hiking trails that lead all around Gran Canaria, with fantastic views out over the ocean.

Water sports

Every water sport and activity under the sun is available to try here in Puerto Mogan, from jet skiing and parasailing to coasteering and kayaking or a crazy banana boat ride! Pack a snorkel (or buy one locally) and take a swim to the nearby cave or get your PADI certification and try some scuba diving.

Popular restaurants

For contemporary Spanish cuisine, Qué Tal has an excellent menu and makes a lovely place to go for a special meal. Cheese lovers will want to try La Bodeguilla Juananá, which has an interesting selection of daily specials as well as a dozen Canarian cheese-based dishes. For something a little different, try La Tortuga for its German and vegetarian offerings.

Shopping in Puerto Mogan

Aside from food, Friday’s market in Mogan has everything from souvenirs and local art to clothes and accessories. Arrive early when they crowds are smaller for a relaxed shopping trip, or pay a visit to the small Monday crafts market. The area around the marina is full of little boutiques tucked away in small streets that can be discovered in an afternoon walk.

Types of HolidayTaxis transfer vehicles
March 31, 2023

At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.

For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage. On the other hand, if you're traveling with just one or two companions, a private car may be more suitable for you as they offer a more intimate and personalised experience.
