Why visit Playa Quemada

If you’re looking for an idyllic, authentic experience of coastal Lanzarote, then Playa Quemada is the resort for you. This picturesque little village is in a secluded part of the island, although just south of Puerto Calero for easy access to shops, restaurants and more. It’s a popular destination for local holidaymakers and families looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday.

Things to do

Spend your afternoons exploring the small, hidden coves and natural beaches around Playa Quemada. The waters here are crystal clear and sheltered, making them a good place to swim. The village is only a short way from Lanzarote a Caballo, where visitors can see the island with a horse or camel tour.

For shopping, boat tours and other activities, take a day trip to the lively seaside resort of Puerto Calero where there are plenty of restaurants and activities for the whole family.

Where to eat

There a few good restaurants to choose from, such as Playa Quemada Restaurant, where you can enjoy some traditional Spanish cuisine right on the beachfront. El Pescador is another popular restaurant overlooking the sea, with a cosy casual setting that’s very kid-friendly. For a larger choice of places to eat out, simply head along the coast to Puerto Calero.

When to go

The hottest time of year in Lanzarote is during the summer month, when holidaymakers can expect highs of 30 degrees, lots of sunshine and some humidity during their stay. The slightly cooler spring and autumn months are the best time to go for pleasant weather that doesn’t get too hot.

March 31, 2023

At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.

For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage. On the other hand, if you're traveling with just one or two companions, a private car may be more suitable for you as they offer a more intimate and personalised experience.
