Why visit Tias?

A little resort not too far from the coast, Tias is one of the oldest and most important towns in Lanzarote. Partway between the picturesque inland villages and the famous strip of coastal resort towns, Tias offers the best of Lanzarotes’ culture with many typical beach holiday activities nearby.

Things to do

The old town of Tias is full of character with plenty of historical attractions, including the Nuestra Senora de la Candelaria, a pretty 16th-century church, and the San Antonio Chapel. The local theatre hosts a variety of shows and events throughout the year and, during June, visitors can experience the two-week-long Festival of San Juan.

There are plenty of sandy beaches and fun activities too. Matagorda beach is famous for windsurfing, and Los Pocillos beach features a fun station, as well as lots of watersports and games for the whole family. Coastal boat trips are also a favourite excursion amongst holidaymakers.

Where to eat?

Tias offers a good choice of bars and restaurants, including the stylish Lani’s Restaurant for tasty Mediterranean food and La Carmencita del Puerto for tapas and drinks. For more options, spend the evening in one of the nearby resorts, such as Puerto Del Carmen, where you’ll find lots of reasonable places to eat.

When to go?

Lanzarote is known for its year-round pleasant weather, so visitors can always expect T-shirt temperatures no matter what time of year they travel. The hottest time of the year is during the summer, with daily highs in the low 30s, so a spring or autumn visit is best for a slightly cooler climate.

Types of HolidayTaxis transfer vehicles
March 31, 2023

At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.

For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage. On the other hand, if you're traveling with just one or two companions, a private car may be more suitable for you as they offer a more intimate and personalised experience.
