Things to see and do in St. Paul’s Bay

The coastline is the main attraction at St Paul’s Bay, so make sure you take advantage of it during your stay with relaxing walks around the shore, drinks in the sun at one of the nearby bars or kiosks and swimming in the clear waters. Malta is a hot spot for diving, thanks largely to the array of wrecks, caves and unusual rock formations just waiting to be explored. If you’re not an experienced diver then you can try diving lessons or simply hire some snorkelling equipment for views beneath the waves.

There’s a whole range of watersports available around the bay, from jet-skiing to kayaking and swimming at the lido. You can also take a boat trip around the island, a guided tour of the Blue Lagoon or an excursion to another island.

If you prefer to keep your feet on dry land, why not see the sealife at the aquarium, discover the Classic Car Museum, test your luck at the Oracle Casino, or enjoy a meal at one of the many restaurants. You can learn more about Malta’s history with a walk along the Xemxija heritage trail, which includes a Roman road, ancient trees, a temple and Roman baths.

Top attractions

Relax on the soft sands of Perched Beach, not far from the Buġibba Centre. This raised beach is perfect for sunbathing and steps down to the water’s edge allow for swimming and snorkelling.

For families, the best days out are at the Malta National Aquarium, where you can see different types of colourful fish and sea creatures, the Buġibba Water Park and the Splash and Fun Park, where the kids can enjoy the water slides and rides.

Best restaurants

One of the most attractive restaurants near St Paul’s Bay is La Nave, offering stunning views with its floor-to-ceiling windows. It’s located just above the aquarium, making it the ideal place to eat out after an afternoon looking at the marine animals. For Mediterranean food, Tarragon is widely reputed to be the best restaurant in town, located just above the harbour. For a romantic evening out, we recommend Venus, where you can enjoy a very reasonably priced set menu of homemade food.

Types of HolidayTaxis transfer vehicles
March 31, 2023

At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.

For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage. On the other hand, if you're traveling with just one or two companions, a private car may be more suitable for you as they offer a more intimate and personalised experience.
