Why visit Cala Morell?

Cala Morell is a quiet little fishing village, unspoilt by mass tourism, on Menorca’s northern coast. It’s authentic charm adds to its appeal, as does its dramatic natural coastline, making it a popular choice for families looking for a peaceful resort and couples looking to get away from it all.

When to go

Summer is the best time to visit Menorca, when the weather is warm and dry and temperatures average 25°C and 29°C, especially in August. However, the island is blessed with a Mediterranean climate, making it a sunny destination all year round.

Things to do

Cala Morell is the perfect place to stay if you want to relax and enjoy your peaceful and natural surroundings. There is a little bar by the beach where you can watch the views over the bay and during the day you can pay a visit to the man made Bronze and Iron age cave dwellings just nearby. Further along the western coast, families can enjoy a day out at the Los Delfines Aqua Park, the Menorca Cheese Museum or the Santa Agueda Castle.

Nearby Beaches

Cala Morell Bay is a fantastic, natural bay in a cove that is sheltered all around by high cliffs that have houses built into the side. The sea here is a deep blue, due to the depth of the bay that makes it one of the top spots on the island for diving as well as exploring its underground caves. Sunbathers can enjoy a 200 metre strip of sandy beach and shallow waters along the shore, or a little further afield there is the stunning beach of Algaiarens and the Vall de Algaiarens valleys.

Top Restaurants

Perhaps the best restaurant for incredible sea views, thanks to its location on the cliffs, is Baristiu Cafe which serves a range of Mediterranean dishes.
