Munich Airport is the 7th busiest in Europe, so make sure you get to your hotel without any queues or delays, and pre-book your transfer right to your hotel door. Our private, door to door transfers take just 30 minutes from Munich Airport, leaving you with more time to enjoy the city.

We offer a wide range of transport options for getting to and from Munich quickly, comfortably and at an affordable price. Choose from a range of private vehicles including standard cars, minibuses for larger group travel, and luxury cars. Most of our vehicles come with an airport Meet and Greet service, where your driver will be waiting for you upon arrival, holding a sign displaying your name.

Things to see and do in Munich

Right at the heart of the city is Marienplatz, which is the main town square; it has been an important feature in city life since the 12th century, when it played host to tournaments and markets. These days it attracts visitors coming to see the impressive architecture of the Neues Rathaus (New Town Hall). The best times to arrive are just before 11am, 12pm and 5pm, when the world-famous clock, complete with dancing figurines, chimes.

The other reason that many holidaymakers come to Marienplatz is for the incredible Christmas markets, which begin in November. The traditional German chalet stalls sell everything from gifts and decorations to mulled wine and stollen. The city’s usual food market, which has grown too large for Marienplatz, can be found nearby at Viktualienmarkt; here you can try traditional German food, buy fresh produce or enjoy a beer at one of the city’s popular beer gardens.

Other top sights to see during your stay include St Peter’s Church (Peterskirche), which offers fantastic views out over the city, as far as the Alps on a clear day. The gloriously extravagant Asam Church, with its Late Baroque interior, is also well worth a visit.

If you’ve had your fill of German beer and sightseeing, why not enjoy a walk in one of the city’s parks. The well known Englischer Garten is the perfect green and leafy place for a stroll. More unusually, it’s also a top spot for surfing - Eisbachwelle is a surfing spot right in the city centre that’s created by the fast flowing river.

Top attractions

One of the most famous attractions in Munich is the Hofbräuhaus, the state-run beer hall. This traditional German beer hall dates back to the 1500s and comes complete with tankards of German beer, brass bands and plenty of good food. It’s one of the top places to enjoy the most famous beer festival of all Oktoberfest.

While you’re in Munich, don’t miss out on the chance to visit Nymphenburg Palace; this beautiful building and its gardens are open to the public, who can find out a little more about the city’s history.

Best restaurants

If you only have a chance to visit one cafe during your stay in Munich, then make sure it is Café Luitpold. This renowned eatery is both traditional and elegant, and the best place to try some simply exquisite cakes and pastries.

If you’re looking to try some typical hearty German cuisine, you can enjoy a meal with your beer at Hofbräuhaus. Alternatively, for the same experience but without all the tourists, get a table at Weisses Bräuhaus - Another traditional beer hall, Weisses Bräuhaus attracts many more locals than visitors, has a nice relaxed setting and specialises in German pork dishes.

For more Bavarian cuisine, head to Ratskeller in Munich’s Old Town - Like eating in a castle, the restaurant is decorated with stained glass windows, sweeping staircases and painted ceilings and offers a fantastic dining experience.
