The city has a wealth of incredible Gothic and Renaissance buildings, which are protected as a UNESCO site, these include the Pont d’Avignon (a 12th-century bridge) the Petit Palais (a romanesque cathedral) and the Basilique Saint-Pierre d’Avignon. There are an assortment of interesting history and art museums in the area such as the Musée Calvet, the Musée du Petit Palais, the Musée Angladon and the Collection Lambert, which is housed in two fantastic 18th-century hotels.
