Munich International Airport (MUC), also known as Franz Josef Strauss International Airport, is situated 17 miles from the centre of Munich. It is the main gateway to the city and serves Bavaria and the South of Germany.

Or just 16 km north of the airport, Therme Erding (the largest thermal bath park in Europe) offers visitors pools saunas and 16 water slides.
