What to do in Mykonos

Arguably the most popular of all the Greek islands, Mykonos, with its whitewashed buildings, churches, and chapels, has a thriving nightlife and no end of beaches to relax and unwind by day. Home to the most photographed church in the world, Paraportiani Church, with its fantastic architecture built at different stages in history, is a real sight to behold. The North side of the island has secluded beaches, and fewer tourists whilst the Southside has the infamous party scene and beaches. There are also windmills to visit just outside Little Venice. Easy to travel to from the airport using our Mykonos airport transfers.

There are endless outdoor pursuits to fill your holiday be it parasailing, horseback riding, and various water sports such as windsurfing and jet-skiing. For a more authentic taste of island life, why not visit the beautiful town of Ano Mera, which is home to a sixteen nth-century Monastery. A few of the island's most popular beaches are Ornos, for its bay full of exotic, colourful fish, perfect for snorkeling. Paraga is a lovely stretch of beach with considerably fewer tourists and more space. If windsurfing is your thing, try Kalafatis in the North which boasts sand with pebbles and is generally less crowded. Another favorite day trip is the ferry from Mykonos to the World Heritage-listed Island of Delos. Here you will find ancient monuments and excavated ruins including the Temple of Apollo, the Terrace of the Lions, and the House of Dionysus as well as the Museum of Delos itself. Get lost in the maze of streets, restaurants, and bars in the aptly named Little Venice, which is a feast for all the senses.

March 31, 2023

At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.

For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage. On the other hand, if you're traveling with just one or two companions, a private car may be more suitable for you as they offer a more intimate and personalised experience.
