Why book your airport transfer with us?
What is the best airport to fly into Amsterdam?
Most visitors to Amsterdam fly into Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS), just 9 km southwest of the city centre.
How the booking confirmation works
Once you have booked your transport to your accommodation, you will receive a confirmation email with your booking voucher which includes all the details of your journey and our 24 hour telephone number. Our team will ensure that your travel times will get you to and from the airport on time.
What to expect when arriving at Amsterdam Airport
Book your taxi now for pre-booked or instant travel, up to 2 hours in advance, and one of our drivers will be waiting for you at the airport to take you straight to your hotel. Your booking voucher includes information on where to find your experienced and professional, local driver, who will be waiting for you on your arrival. Please ensure you have your voucher with you on the day you fly as you will need to show it to your driver. Once you have arrived and collected your baggage, you can go directly to your pick up point to be transported straight to your hotel. If your flight is delayed or cancelled, then you must call the number on your booking voucher to advise of any changes that need to be made to your journey.
What to do in Amsterdam
The beautiful city of Amsterdam is full of history, culture and endless pleasures to be enjoyed. Whether you're staying in the city itself or on the picturesque outskirts, your trip to Holland is sure to be a memorable one!
If you’re looking for things to do in Amsterdam City Centre, start with a tour of its world-class galleries, including the Van Gogh Museum, the Museum het Rembrandthuis or the glorious Rijksmuseum, filled with old masters. Book your tickets to the Anne Frank House in advance, to avoid the queues, or spend an afternoon at the Foam photography or NEMO science museums.
The city centre’s maze of bridges and canals make a great day of urban exploration, whether you choose to see the sights from the comfort of a cruise or discover them by bike. Amsterdam has an estimated 881,000 bicycles, and 58% of its population cycles daily, so bike hire is cheap and easy for tourists.
It’s hard to avoid the city’s infamous nightlife scene, notably its Red Light District and coffee shops, but if that’s not your thing then try one of the old-fashioned bars serving excellent local beer or a trendy café for cocktails.
If you’re visiting Amsterdam on a budget, then you may want to consider staying outside of the city centre. Cheaper hotel options are available around Schiphol and the airport as well as in Amstelveen, a suburb of Amsterdam.
Hoofddorp, the main town in the Haarlemmermeer district just south of the capital, is a great place for hiking and nature and hosts cultural events throughout the year, including the enormous Mysteryland electronic music festival in the summer and Winterland festival.
