Main Airports in Italy

The largest airport in Italy is the Leonardo da Vinci Airport - Rome Fiumicino (FCO) which has around 38.5 million passengers per year. It’s a good starting point if you travel to the Lazio, Umbria or Abruzzo regions. It’s the main hub for the Alitalia airline company. Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) has around 19 million passengers per year. It’s the closest airport to Varese, Navara, Como and Lugano - a very popular ski resort in Italy and Switzerland. Milan Linate Airport (LIN) annually welcomes around 9 million passengers. The airport provides easy access to towns like Cremona, Pavia, Piacenza and Monza to watch the Formula 1. Bergamo Airport (BGY) can also be used for travelling to Milan, especially when travelling to ski resorts in the northeastern part of Italy, such as Montecampione in Brescia, Albino, Presolana Monte Pora and Lake Garda. Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) is recommended when you travel to Venice, Padua, Vicenza and towns on the Adriatic coast like Caorle and Lido di Jesolo.

Types of HolidayTaxis transfer vehicles
March 31, 2023

At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.

For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage. On the other hand, if you're traveling with just one or two companions, a private car may be more suitable for you as they offer a more intimate and personalised experience.
