What to do in Granada?

With a backdrop of the Sierra Nevada mountains, the Andalusian city of Granada has several historical delights to offer the visiting traveller. The UNESCO world heritage site of The Alhambra is a firm favourite with tourists from the exotic ancient Nasrid palace with stunning tiles to the beautiful Generalife gardens with staggering views. Pre-book tickets online for the tours and entrance fees, and experience the many architectural styles from different periods. There are places to eat and drink across this large site, so we recommend spending a day here to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the delightful decoration. Another spot with great views across The Alhambra and Darro River, is the Mirador de San Nicolas, especially at sunset, but beware it can get busy so keep an eye on your valuables! Take a walk back in time through the narrow cobbled streets in the hillside neighbourhood of Albayzín and see flamenco in a traditional cave house in the neighbourhood of Sacromonte.

The Royal Chapel of Granada and the cathedral, both 5 euros entrance fee, are close together and pleasant to visit, especially the tombs in the chapel and free art gallery on site. A famous church is the Basilica of San Juan de Dios, 4 euros entrance fee, with its intricate gold decoration and Baroque splendour. Before you leave Granada experience a traditional tapas, which is a big part of this Spanish city's culture.

Types of HolidayTaxis transfer vehicles
March 31, 2023

At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.

For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage. On the other hand, if you're traveling with just one or two companions, a private car may be more suitable for you as they offer a more intimate and personalised experience.
