Things to do

Altea is an excellent destination for outdoor activities because it offers mountain trails and coastal paths for hiking and cycling. Make the most of this seaside resort with a trip along the coast to one of the nearby sandy beaches, or take a boat tour and admire the view from the sea.

Altea Old Town is a great place to explore; pay a visit to the blue-domed church, the little lanes full of boutique shops and cafes, or stop off at a bar for some delicious tapas.

Excursions

Our top suggestion for a day trip from Altea is the little town of Polop, inland of the resort, where you can relax in the shade of the pine groves or take in the views from the castle.

For something more lively, Benidorm is a great spot for a day out and offers plenty of nightlife, bars and clubs for evening entertainment.

Eating out

La Table is a French restaurant (which also serves up classic Spanish dishes) located right on the seafront, and perfect if you don’t want to stray too far from the beach. If you fancy trying some delicious tapas, then Xef Pirata is the ideal spot plus it also offers a huge range of international dishes and vegetarian options.

Shopping

Altea Old Town is great for shopping; you’ll find lots of small shops selling local products plus a lively market. In the centre, by the main square, is Calle Rey Jaume I, the main shopping street where you can buy clothes, perfume and more.

Types of HolidayTaxis transfer vehicles
March 31, 2023

At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.

For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage. On the other hand, if you're traveling with just one or two companions, a private car may be more suitable for you as they offer a more intimate and personalised experience.
