Things to see and do in Pego

Pego is located in a naturally very beautiful region of spain. Not far from the Vall de Gallinera, a collection of eight little mountain towns and valleys filled with cherry orchards, it’s a great destination for a relaxing holiday.

Hikers and walkers will be in their element, with a mix of easy trails and tall peaks to climb. During spring, the whole area bursts into bloom with thousands of pink and white cherry blossoms on show. It’s also not far from the Parc Natural de la Marjal de Oliva-Pego, a wetland area that provides the perfect setting for birdwatching.

Top attractions

Visit in the summertime and you’ll be right on time for the fiesta season. You can expect dancing, music and plenty of food on offer in Pego and the surrounding villages, such as Benirrama, Beniali and Carroja.

It would be a shame, of course, to visit the area without seeing the coast. Denia, a 25-minute taxi ride away, offers access to as much as twenty kilometres of beaches. The soft sands and shallow waters attract families with younger children as much as couples and the locals, and there is a choice of sheltered coves for fishing and diving.

Best restaurants

Restaurante L'om, a charmingly rustic eatery, does fresh tapas that will make your mouth water, with generous portions for hungry holidaymakers. It’s welcoming, with easy access for all, and it’s popular with the locals so you know the food will be good. If you fancy a chance from Mediterranean offerings, why not go for an Indian? Buddhaeyes Tandoori Resturant is well reviewed for its good prices and beautiful dishes, that are pretty tasty too!

Types of HolidayTaxis transfer vehicles
March 31, 2023

At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.

For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage. On the other hand, if you're traveling with just one or two companions, a private car may be more suitable for you as they offer a more intimate and personalised experience.
