Things to do

If you tire of Calella’s three beautiful beaches and the array of watersports on offer then you can always take the kids to Water World; where children and adults alike can enjoy the rides, wave pools, river rapids and other attractions. Visiting in September? La Minerva Festival, the biggest in Calella, takes place during this month and is a fun few days of dancing, concerts, fireworks and exhibitions. Day trips to Barcelona are an easy 30 minutes’ drive away, perfect for a day of shopping, dining and taking in all the sights of this beautiful city.

Calella beaches

Calella de la Costa has three beaches, all of which merge into one 3-km length of sand, called Garbi, Les Roques and Gran Playa. Gran Playa is the main beach, but all three have been awarded Blue Flag status. If you’re looking for somewhere a little quieter, Cala Treumal is 25 minutes away by car and is set in a beautiful pine-fringed bay.

When to go?

Calella is a great year-round destination but the best time to go, if you’re looking for hot weather, is during the months of July and August when temperatures peak at around 30ºC.

Types of HolidayTaxis transfer vehicles
March 31, 2023

At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.

For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage. On the other hand, if you're traveling with just one or two companions, a private car may be more suitable for you as they offer a more intimate and personalised experience.
