Things to see and do in San Rafael

The small town of San Rafael is located between Ibiza Town and San Antonio. Although small, it boasts a handful of good restaurants and an artistic quarter. Its biggest draw, however, are its nightclubs.

Home to three of the island’s most famous clubs - Privilege, Amnesia and the Underground Club - San Antonio is one of THE places to go to experience Ibiza’s infamous nightlife. Privilege is the world’s largest superclub, with room for up to 10,000 people, Amnesia is an award-winning venue and the Underground Club is a popular smaller club with a more intimate atmosphere.

Top attractions

Aside from its nightlife, San Rafael is best known for its pottery shops. Here, you’ll find locally made, beautiful ceramics and pottery. If you want to take some home with you as a souvenir, you’ll find it sold in two boutiques in town, as well as various market stalls.

The other main sight in the town is the church. Featuring Moorish architecture, the San Rafael church is an attractive building to visit and offers wonderful views out over the countryside as far as Ibiza Town.

Of all the restaurants in San Rafael, Las Dos Lunas is perhaps the best reviewed of the bunch. This romantic eatery, set among the grapevines, offers the perfect mix of rustic location and chic dining. Come here for a romantic, candlelit dinner under the stars.
