Things to see and do

Punta Mujeres is a picturesque coastal town in northern Lanzarote, away from the tourist hotspots and with a much more authentic feel to it. It has a series of natural saltwater swimming pools, set into the coast at various places, which are protected from the sea by rocks, and are a popular place for relaxing come high tide.

The village itself is home to an array of little shops, bakeries and a nice choice of restaurants offering lazy lunches and evening meals with a view out to sea. Take an afternoon walk further north and you’ll discover some quiet little white sandy beaches that are perfect for sunbathing and paddling.

Top attractions

Lanzarote is home to a series of lava tunnels, created after the eruption of Montaña La Corona several thousand years ago. One of the most famous examples can be found at the Cuevas de los Verdes, part of a 4 mile long lava tube. It’s a spectacular place to visit, and is illuminated so that visitors can discover the caves.

Another example is Jameos del Agua, which has been converted into a fascinating cultural centre by local artist César Manrique. Described at the most beautiful nightclub in the world, Jameos del Agua consists of an underground salt lake and caves, plus a pool, restaurant and gardens. Visitors can also see the Cesar Manrique House Museum, a little further inland, and discover more about the artist.

Best restaurants

For typical Spanish food and seaside views, head to Tres Luna, which has a great menu of fresh fish dishes. Palenke is another popular choice for local food and has a wood fired grill for that delicious barbeque taste.

Types of HolidayTaxis transfer vehicles
March 31, 2023

At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.

For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage. On the other hand, if you're traveling with just one or two companions, a private car may be more suitable for you as they offer a more intimate and personalised experience.
