Things to do in Livigno
Aside from outdoor activities, visitors can discover more about the area’s past with a trip to the Trepalle Museum. Here you can find out about the town's agricultural past. Or, pay a visit to a local working dairy farm such as Latteria di Livigno.
Livigno is also an area known for its gastronomy. If you’re coming here in July, take the Gourmet Trail, a 5km trail that stops off at all the best eateries in town, and savour some of the local cuisine. You can also indulge in some shopping while you’re here as the town benefits from a tax free status.
Winter Activities
Livigno is a great spot for beginner and intermediate skiers, with 110 km of pistes ideal for both skiing and snowboarding. There are a couple of black runs and off-piste areas for experts, but it’s definitely a resort better suited to novices.
Other winter activities include yeti treks, where participants are accompanied by a local mountain guide and equipped with snow-shoes to venture off-piste and explore the powder, and a 6 km toboggan run that takes you down the mountains. Another, magical experience is a horse drawn sleigh ride through the snow.
Summer Activities
Located near the Stelvio National Park, Livigno is an excellent place for walking, hiking and wildlife spotting - with the chance of seeing ermine, eagles and ibex. It’s also a very popular destination for climbing, with both natural and indoor walls to choose from. Alternatively, view the area from up high with a paragliding lesson, or explore the rivers in a canoe plus sport activities in the town itself include basketball, volleyball, football and skating.

The best time for skiing is in February, when there is likely to be the most snow and best conditions, however early March may be a little quieter on the slopes. Livigno is an all-year destination, so you’ll find plenty to see and do, especially in the summer months.
