What to do in and around Zauchensee?
Zauchensee is the highest skiing area in the state of Salzburg, its 10 km south of the small town of Altenmarkt im Pongau (13 minutes by car). There are various things to do in this picturesque area aside from skiing, such as a day trip to Grafenberg which has fun activities for kids to enjoy including; slides, a trampoline, a climbing wall and more! Children will also love the Erlebnis-Therme Amade, which has indoor and outdoor pools plus slides; the perfect place to spend a few hours (especially if the weather is bad). Another Aquapark nearby is Wasserwelt Wagrain which features pools and some slides and is a pleasant place to sit outdoors amid the lush green surroundings.
