About Sao Paulo Airport (GRU)

Sao Paulo Airport is the primary international airport serving Sao Paulo (it’s also referred to as Guarulhos-Governador André Franco Montoro International Airport and just as GRU). The airport is located approximately 30 km northeast of Sao Paulo, close to the lower east coast of Brazil, and is the second busiest in South America.

The airport has recently received improvements and is fully catered to long haul stopovers with a good choice of restaurants and a fair few being 24 hours. It’s a big airport with stringent security and three terminals; terminal three is the biggest and home to international flights, terminal one is only used by Passredo Airlines while terminal two serves domestic flights plus some to Latin America.
