  • What to do in Strasbourg

Strasbourg is a beautiful city to visit at any time of the year, but at Christmas is is home to one of France’s most beautiful Christmas markets, making it a popular winter city break. No matter when you go, there are plenty of things to see and do during your stay.

One of the city’s main attractions is the Cathédrale Notre Dame de Strasbourg. This attractive, pink-hued cathedral was built in the 15th century and features a stunning medieval astronomical clock. Climb the 330 steps to the top of the spire to enjoy the views from 468 feet up. If you visit during the Christmas period this is a must, as visitors will be able to look down on the beautiful winter market.

Another must-visit is La Petite France. A sort of miniature venice, it is located on an island in the Ill river in the centre of the city. Come and explore the many canals, little streets and historic buildings of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Finally, if you’re keen to see all the city’s sights, don’t miss its two most famous bridges - the Barrage Vauban and Ponts Couverts - as well as the Palais des Rohan and Neustadt building.

At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.

For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage. On the other hand, if you're traveling with just one or two companions, a private car may be more suitable for you as they offer a more intimate and personalised experience.
