What to do in Skopje

The capital of Macedonia has plenty of impressive architecture to discover and places to see during your stay. The most impressive of these is the Archaeological Museum of Macedonia, a giant Roman-style marble building with three floors worth of fantastic historical treasures, including artefacts from the Byzantine era. The National Gallery of Macedonia, housed in the former Turkish Baths, the Tvrdina Kale Fortress and Sveti Spas Church are also well worth a visit. Finish off your tour of Skopje with a tasting at the Old Town Brewery, the city’s only microbrewery, or shopping at the Old Bazaar.

Beyond the city itself, you’ll find plenty of opportunities for day trips and outdoor activities. If you’ve only time to visit one town, make it Čaršija, the hillside Ottoman old town of the capital. Where you’ll find teahouses, mosques, craft shops and markets. Active holidaymakers looking for adventure can take a taxi to Lake Matka, a top stop for swimming, kayaking and canyoning, or simply enjoying a pleasant walk to see the monastery.

At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.

For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage.
