Where is Jeddah Airport?

King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED) is located 12 miles (19 km) north of the port city of Jeddah, on Saudi Arabia’s western coast. It is the busiest airport in the country and a gateway for religious pilgrimages to the holy cities of Mecca and Medina.

What to do in Jeddah

The port city of Jeddah is a gateway to many things: visitors will come here to experience the culture and history of this cosmopolitan city, scuba divers come for its incredible dive sites and many come here on their way to Mecca on a pilgrimage. It’s a city that offers world-class dining, shopping and sightseeing, as well as outdoor activities and fun.

Start your trip with a visit to the Jeddah waterfront, where you’ll find beaches, parks, restaurants, live entertainment and concerts, mosques and more. Sightseeing highlights include King Fahd’s Fountain, also known as the Jeddah Fountain, which is so high it can be seen from most parts of the city, the enormous Jeddah Tower and Jeddah’s Floating Mosque - which is open to tourists. Don’t miss a chance to visit the ancient neighbourhood of Al-Balad, originally founded in the seventh century, where you’ll find buildings made of coral.

Indulge in some retail therapy at one of Jeddah’s many air-conditioned malls, such as the Red Sea Mall, where you’ll find shops, ice rinks and bowling alleys. Enjoy some family fun at Al-Shallal Theme Park, or try some outdoor activities such as 4x4 adventures, dune bashing and desert camel safaris.

At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.

For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage. On the other hand, if you're traveling with just one or two companions, a private car may be more suitable for you as they offer a more intimate and personalised experience.
