What to do in Memphis

Visit the home of Memphis’ most famous resident: Elvis Presley. A trip to the Graceland mansion includes a tour of the house, car museum and two jets, and exhibitions dedicated to the musician. Next on your list of must-visit places is the legendary Sun Studio, where some of the biggest names in rock ‘n’ roll recorded their songs, including Elvis, Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis.

Music fans will also enjoy the Stax Museum of American Soul Music and the Memphis Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum. Finally, no trip would be complete without a walk around the Beale Street Historic District. Best known for its cool and eclectic mix of bars, cafes and live music venues, it’s the best spot to get a real feel for the city. Try the Rum Boogie Cafe, Mr Handy’s Blues Hall, BB King’s Blue Club, or head over to Wild Bill's for some of the best blues acts in town.

Memphis is also known for its southern-style food, making it a great place to eat out. Whether you prefer a more refined meal at Restaurant Iris, when you can try carefully crafted Southern fusion dishes, or a huge plate of delicious grilled meats at Central BBQ, you’ll have plenty of choice.

If you’re looking to burn off some calories, you’ll find plenty of outdoor activities for the whole family. At Mud Island River Park, by the Mississippi River, there are walking and biking trails to explore, as well as pedal boats to rent on the river. At Shelby Farms Park you can try horseback riding and fishing, and at the Bass Pro Shop retail area you’ll find everything from an aquarium and alligator habitat to bowling and shopping.

March 31, 2023

At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.

For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage. On the other hand, if you're traveling with just one or two companions, a private car may be more suitable for you as they offer a more intimate and personalised experience.
