What to do in Seattle

Seattle’s most iconic building, the Space Needle, was originally built for the 1962 World’s Fair. Visitors can reach the observation deck via a lift, that goes almost to the top of the 605-foot building. Views stretch out as far as Mount Rainier, with the Cascade Mountains and Elliot Bay easy to spot.

Other top attractions include the Seattle Center Monorail, which runs from central Seattle to the Westlake Centre. It’s definitely one of the best ways to see the city. There’s also the Seattle Aquarium, at Pier 59, where you can see sharks, giant clams and puffer fish. And if there’s one museum you’re going to visit during your stay, make it the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP), with exhibits on everything from horror films to Nirvana.

Other activities and things to do in Seattle include a ride across the Puget Sound on one of the Washington State Ferries, a tour of the Starbucks Reserve Roastery & Tasting Room, exploring the beautiful streets around Pioneer Square and shopping at Pike Place Market.
