How to get from Malaga Airport to Salobrena

You can travel in comfort at an affordable price when you book one of our private taxis from Malaga Airport direct to your hotel door in Salobrena. Located 62 miles east of the airport, the journey to the resort takes about 70 minutes when you book a reliable taxi or private minibus transfer with a Meet and Greet Service on arrival.

We also provide an affordable shared shuttle bus service to the resort for holidays on a budget. No need to queue, just located your shuttle using the details on your booking voucher and you’ll be on your way in no time. Optional extras from child car seats to WiFi can be pre-booked for many of our vehicles.

Why visit Salobrena

Often called the ‘Jewel of the Costa Tropical’, Salobrena is a delightful destination for a holiday at any time of the year. Blessed with a warm, year-round Mediterranean climate, sandy beaches and near to the Sierra Nevada skiing resort and mountains, there’s no bad time to visit.

Things to do

There’s plenty of sightseeing in the town centre, from the Moorish castle with its magnificent views to various excavations of Roman ruins. Pay a visit to the local museum to discover more about the town’s ancient history, or simply take in the sights with a walk around the charming little streets.

Of course, the resort’s main draw is its wide sandy beach, just a short walk from the town and served by a couple of little beach bars, or “chiringuitos”. Outdoor lovers can try out a range of watersports, from sailing, fishing and windsurfing. It’s also a great spot for hiking, mountain biking, golf and, in the winter, skiing.

Eating out

This lively little town is a vibrant place to eat out on an evening, with a handful of excellent tapas bars to try. You’ll often get a free tapa to try with every drink you buy! For something a little more filling, head to Mesón de la Villa for its rustic regional dishes like the oxtail stew. Or, if you’re a seafood fan, get a table at Restaurante El Peñón for its delicious fried squid or steaming mussels.

Types of HolidayTaxis transfer vehicles
March 31, 2023

At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.

For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage. On the other hand, if you're traveling with just one or two companions, a private car may be more suitable for you as they offer a more intimate and personalised experience.
