What to do in Wadowice?

Situated on the Skawa River the city of Wadowice (50 km southwest of Krakow), located at the foot of the stunning Little Beskids mountain range in Poland, is famous as the birthplace of Saint John Paul II. Pay a visit to the family home of the highly revered pope (which is now a popular museum) and see where he was formerly baptised at the Minor Basilica Church. Another interesting museum, which features a five-room exhibition, is the Town Museum (located in the former town hall) and is also the place where you’ll find the tourist office.

While you’re in the city be sure to taste Wadowices’ famous kremówka; a pastry filled with eggs, cream, sugar and a dash of vanilla, which is well-known across Poland. Outside the city are various trekking trails which lead to other historical sites including the Our Lady Queen of the Mountains chapel, and the Marian Shrine featuring a picture of Our Lady of Kalwaria.

Types of HolidayTaxis transfer vehicles
March 31, 2023

At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.

For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage. On the other hand, if you're traveling with just one or two companions, a private car may be more suitable for you as they offer a more intimate and personalised experience.
